Our Solution is based on an integration, deployment is organized in two main Steps :

  • Service-Now application deployment
  • ProMonitor Configuration

Service-Now Deployment

Open ServiceNow Store, search on “SAP” and click on SAP Cockpit Application

Select Request App and wait for your request to be approved by Agentil. in case of trouble, send an email to support@agentil-software.com

The application is now installed

ServiceNow Common installation part

  • Create a ProMonitor WebService User on Target instance, to Push data from ProMonitor to SAP Cockpit​
    • User needs the following role: Import_set_loader, soap, import_transformer role​, x_agsa_promonitor_user
  • Import Basic Metric Configuration
  • To give user access to the portal page and other menu, add user role “x_agsa_sapcockpit.user”

ProMonitor Configuration

  • Install and Configure PROMonitor in your DataCenter
  • Click on the Gear, choose Plugins .Then choose the plugin Type : ServiceNow Cockpit

  • Enter configuration informations :
    • A name for identifying the integration
    • The ServiceNow instance name (without https)
    • The ServiceNow user previously created
    • P455W0rd
    • The WebService informations :
      • Alarms: x_agsa_sapcockpit_ws_alarms.do
      • Metrics : x_agsa_sapcockpit_MetricInsert.do
    • If Needed, proxy informations
    • Open ProMonitor report template and add the target instance email address

Report Configuration

Edit ProMonitor Report Monitor

  • Add ServiceNow instance address in the interface to send data report to Snow
  • Add “SAP monitoring report XXXX : %COMPANY% - %SID%” as mail subject

Is it Working ?

Then, you can test the connectivity to Service Now by hitting the flask icon in the plugin interface A grren light indicate that's everything is going well :-D

On Service Now side, open the instance in your browser and select “SAPCokpit / Portal View” in application menu You should see the portal

Metrics and Alarms should be automatically created in Service Now tables
